The Prince Of R&B ‘Sammie’ is Back with a New Music Video for his single, ‘Better’.
Sammie just dropped the official music video today for his single, ‘Better’. For many who were wondering where Sammie was and what he was doing, you should know that he has still been at it with his music. Sammie is back for good and of course better than ever for his fans. The soulful singer has always been able to find the right words to say in every verse of his songs, and his single ‘Better’ is definitely a reflection of his love for the ladies!
Sammie is serving up the love and passion through his vocals in the video, and letting the ladies know that you deserve better. This is a single that a lot of women need to hear today because of all the physical abuse and verbal abuse that so many are dealing with, and it’s time you knew that you deserve better!
Now I’m sure many of us ladies would love for Sammie to be our ‘Better’ but since that’s not possible, we can rock out to the firm facts that he is pointing out in the video, that you really deserve a man who can give you more love than heartache and disappointments!
We need more music in the field that supports us as women, and lets us know that we are loved and that we are truly worthy of better than what we allow ourselves to accept. Sammie has always been one to remind the ladies of their worth and value. I absolutely love that his music is a reflection of who he is and he has never changed up on his fans when it came down to his music.
The single, ‘Better’, is the third hot track off of his “I’m Him’ EP. Sammie has been working hard as an Independent Artist and we couldn’t be more proud of him. In a recent interview with Starrdom100, he revealed the difference between him and most performers today in the R&B genre of music, stating that,
“It’s almost seen as being weak if you show love and compassion….I don’t know when love became forbidden, but that’s where R&B derived from. Because in love there is pain, pleasure, there’s mistakes, there’s monogamy, there’s so much content in love. Auto tune gave rappers the ability to rap with melody, and it kind of tricked my industry peers to do the same. That’s when the music industry for R&B derailed. You can’t bash women…it’s almost like R&B singers don’t like women anymore and that’s kind of crazy!” We always did it for the ladies, I never got lost in that, and I always felt they were going the wrong way, and as long as I stayed right where I’m at, I would be one of the ones to resurrect R&B and save it.”

We can definitely agree that he is not only a man for the ladies, but is naturally gifted when it comes to singing. He recently proved that he didn’t need auto tune to help him perform well for his fans! Sammie posted to Instagram recently a video of him singing with the caption that read, “No #autotune needed”.
Sammie added, “Hey man, if you can’t hit the note, keep practicing.” Is Sammie throwing some shade here? Well his vocals speak for themselves so he is entitled to show off for the fans!
